Circle of Seasons Charter School will present Dr. Stephen Keith Sagarin at 6 p.m., when he will explore how Waldorf schools and the definition of Waldorf education have changed since the founding of the Rudolf Steiner School in NYC in 1928. He will discuss what practices worked then, but not now; what educators might consider discarding or altering; and what direction Waldorf schools are moving and growing toward. Q&A will follow from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Sagarin will also make comparisons between independent, charter and other variations of Waldorf schools.

Sagarin holds a Ph.D. in history from Columbia University and a BA in art history and fine art from Princeton. He is the author of The Story of Waldorf Education in the United States: Past, Present, and Future, and has been a Waldorf teacher for most of his career.
